All Things Hair

What shampoo and conditioner do you use? Purple shampoo?

I alternate between It’s a 10 and Bumble and Bumble. I mix this purple shampoo with my regular shampoo once a week to help keep my color and limit the brassiness.

What heat protectant do you use? Oil?

I use this heat protectant and this oil after every shower and apply to my wet hair.

Hair mask?

I use this It’s a 10 hair mask once a week.

Dry shampoo?

I use this drug store dry shampoo to “clean my hair” 😉 and this dry shampoo for volume. IT’S AMAZING.

Hair vitamins?

I take these vitamins and have been able to tell a huge difference. The key ingredient is Biotin (which I have been taking for years), but there are so many other beneficial vitamins and ingredients that help with hair growth. These vitamins were a game changer for me.

What do you ask for when you get your hair done?

My stylist and I love to mix it up! We always look for different blonde hair ideas on Pinterest and have fun with it! Of course, everything goes back to blonde! We have done balayage, highlights, shadow root, etc. I love changing it up, even if it subtle.

What toner does your stylist use?

Goldwell 10BS

What cut do you ask for?

I usually just get it trimmed. My stylist knows how much I love my long hair! She only takes off around 1-2 inches per cut. I get it cut every other time I get my hair done, so every 12ish weeks. She also adds long layers. She told me that this would help with volume and balance. Boy was she right!! I can tell the biggest difference in volume.. especially when I curl my hair.

What color of blonde do you get?

When getting highlights, I ask for an icy blonde with a some honey blonde highlights. I will sometimes add some strawberry blonde pieces in the fall.

How do you keep your hair from being frizzy?

I have naturally straight hair, so I just have to worry about it getting flat, not frizzy. Thankfully, my stylist recommended this product to help with frizz.

How do you achieve volume??

So I have naturally straight and flat hair! In order to get volume, product product product is key for me.. I apply this root boost to my damp hair after a shower. I use this teasing brush and this dry shampoo for volume.

What do you use to style your hair?

What is the best thing for hair growth?

The below is what has personally helped me. However, keep in mind that I am not a hair stylist and that we all have different hair textures:

1. Limit heat

2. Limit washing your hair to at MOST every other day

3. If you’re super blonde, try going a little darker or getting a shadow root. Bleaching your hair every 6-8 weeks is very hard on it.

My friend, Hunter, also did my makeup the first time I got my hair done at Belleza Salon and Spa. They truly pampered me! I always have such a great experience there.
