I am not going to lie.. I have ALWAYS been one to overpack, but at the end of the day I would rather have too much than not having something I need/want! One of my friends is a labor & delivery nurse at the hospital we are delivering at and she let me know that we would NOT need a breast pump, postpartum care for me and anything for baby really besides going his home outfit (the hospital would provide all of that!). She did say to be sure and bring our own pillows and blankets.
Mom:
– Depends (hospital will provide some, but in case I like these better)
– Blackout eye mask
– Haaka manual breast pump
– Boppy
– Makeup bag / remover
– Going home outfit (loose dress)
– Pillow
– Slippers or socks with grip on bottom
– Water bottle with straw
– Toiletries
Baby:
– First photo outfit + name sign
– Going home outfit
Daddy:
– Pillow/blankets
– Snacks
– Toiletries
– Computer / charger / phone charger
– 3 changes of clothes
Misc:
– Something to watch shows on (we packed my iPad)
– Carseat & carseat base in car
